The Euro: Creation, Management and Current Challenges
If you live in one of the 19 euro countries, you have probably often asked yourself where this piece of paper with a number and the € sign gets its value from. During this event, we will to get to the bottom of this question together with the Central bank of the Federal Republic of Germany.
In the joint event, we will look at how the euro has replaced national currencies since 2002 and has become an integral part of everyday life for over 300 million Europeans. An everyday component, about which one also sometimes worries. Greek crisis, Corona and the war in Ukraine—the common currency has already survived many crises.
How is European financial policy responding to the current challenges and rising prices? And what role do banks play at the European and national level?
