European Youth Event 2025: Long Lines, Big Moments, Real Stories

Two weeks ago, a group of young Berliners, aged between 18 and 30, traveled to Europe’s largest democracy festival together with MeetEU. All of them are volunteering for a cause close to their hearts: giving language lessons to migrants, supporting Ukraine, or making public spaces more livable through art.

Together with the international team of MeetEU, they traveled to the European Parliament in Strasbourg to experience in person what “united in diversity” means at the EU Level: They met thousands of volunteers and young engaged people across the continent and beyond.

At this week’s event, we will share with you how the trip went, what the European Youth Event is, and what the idea behind this journey was.
