Can the EU Risk Excluding Western Balkans? Case: North Macedonia

Russia and China are actively vying for influence in the Western Balkans, where five countries strive to join the EU. Despite strong public support for EU membership, frustration grows as strict admission criteria slow progress in these candidate countries.

MCIC is a civil society organization focused on advancing North Macedonia’s EU accession and international integration. Mr. Kržalovski will share with us the intricacies of the process as well as the hopes and frustrations of his home country’s citizens.
